From
Kokoro #059 - Granite HomeThis is from the valley floor in Yosemite, near the base of El Capitan. Yosemite is GRAND GRANITE on a toweing scale. It's iconic and breathtaking. But that's not the Yosemite I found most fascinating to photograph; too easy, too obvious. Instead, I looked for smaller compositions, ones that still emphasized the granite, but that weren't so overwhelming. Perhaps it's just me, but I most often prefer art that
whispers, rather than art that SHOUTS.
