From Kokoro #012 - Order in the Chaos

This is a small section of a canyon hillside covered with these regularly spaced Noble Fir trees. They've all been planted by hand after the destruction caused by the eruption of Mount Saint Helens. It's just a few miles from the volcano.

I thought the regular patterns created by having the single species of tree in such density was simply marvelous. I doubt you could ever find this in nature. With the passage of time, even this scene will disappear as other species of trees grow and intermingle with these. But in the meantime, what a spectacular view!
