Not Zabriskie Point, 2006
We all carry around in our mind's eye a virtual gallery of images that have impressed and influenced us. Edward Weston's famous image from Zabriskie Point occupies a prominent place in the gallery in my mind. This isn't Zabriskie Point and in most regards looks quite different from Weston's photograph. Nonetheless, in my associative mind, this image of a small runoff wash from Hell's Half Acre is somehow is inspired by his vision.
