Kokoro - Wandering Through a Photographic Life

Backstage Kokoro

A "behind-the-scenes" look at selected images in my Kokoro project —

From Kokoro #007 - Enso

For previous generations, a given negative might be repeatedly printed over the years, but it would almost never be used in more than one project. Times have changed.

I also used this image in my folio Wakarimasen, but that seems perfectly natural to me. I guess this comes from thinking as photographs as assets to use in the production of my artwork. The photographs are not the artwork, but rather just a component. Why not use them repeatedly if it's appropriate to do so?

I like this particular photograph so well, I won't be surprised in the least to see I use it again in a future project, somewhere down the road.
