From Kokoro #078 - A Skyful of Joy

I suppose most photographers have played around with photographing fireworks. There is a lot of fun to be had attempting to capture the perfect blossom of color in the night sky. On this night, however, I became aware of the colored smoke that hung in the air, providing texture and context to the streaks of light. As Jay Maisel said in one of my favorite quotes about photography, "Never trust air you can't see." Indeed.
